Are you passionate about coaching and developing young talent? We’re looking for a motivated Part-Time Academy Coach to join our team and help shape the future stars of tomorrow!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and lead engaging, skill-focused training sessions for young players.
2. Assess player performance, offering constructive feedback to promote growth.
3. Foster a fun, safe, and inclusive environment that motivates young players.
4. Collaborate with fellow coaches to align with the academy’s coaching philosophy.
5. Support development of Academy Players.
6. Monitor players and report their progress on a regular basis, completing the relevant reports.
7. Take responsibility for ensuring a high quality of work.
8. Liaise with Parents/Guardians and resolve any issues empathetically.
9. Attend ALL age group sessions/matchdays except in exceptional circumstances.
10. Confirm attendance from every training session and match on ’Spond’.
11. Such other duties as may be appropriate to achieve the objectives of the post and to assist the Lead Phase Coach and Academy Head of Coaching.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Previous coaching experience.
2. Relevant coaching certification (UEFA B or working towards).
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to inspire and motivate young players.
5. Is highly knowledgeable and fluent in coaching the technical and tactical Academy Principles of play in the small-sided games format including 5v5, 7v7, 9v9 & 11v11 (phase dependent).
6. Flexibility and willingness to learn.
7. Meticulous attention to detail.
Rates of Pay
Game day rate: As per Band illustration.
Hours: Monday evening 5.30-7.00pm, Tuesday evening 5.30 – 7.00pm, Friday 7.30-9.00pm.
