Job Description:
About the Role
All applicants must submit a CV and a cover letter explaining why they are suitable for this role. Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
The closing date is 11th May 2025, but early applications are encouraged as the role may close early if sufficient applications are received.
We are part of a large integrated drug and alcohol service working with some of Cornwall's most excluded and disadvantaged people. Successful candidates will work as part of the clinical team, collaborating with outreach, hospital, adult community, and criminal justice services.
WithYou is dedicated to working with clients to find the right path for them, and you will join a team committed to making a difference.
If you are a first-level Registered Nurse or a Registered Pharmacist who enjoys community work, assessing, and supporting healthcare needs, this role may be suitable for you.
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) based in Liskeard.
You will stay updated on treatment developments and help develop, implement, and evaluate interventions such as harm reduction, support and advice in substance misuse clinics, and vaccination and blood testing programs.
Part of your role involves outreach to the community to provide support and education.
We offer an induction, supervision, and CPD to support your development.
We welcome applications from prescribers with a passion for our client group, including those with backgrounds in other specialties, as full training and induction will be provided. Most work is face-to-face, so on-site presence is required. For more information or to arrange an informal visit, contact [emailprotected]
To be effective in this role, you should:
* Be a Registered General Nurse, Registered Mental Health Nurse, or a Registered Pharmacist (GPhC)
* Have completed the supplementary/independent prescriber course and be registered accordingly
* Demonstrate prescribing experience
* Evidence ongoing professional development
* Have experience delivering nursing interventions in a community setting
* Have healthcare assessments, care planning, and key working experience
* Show experience of peer working and collaboration with external agencies
* Possess knowledge of substance misuse and its health impacts
WithYou provides free, confidential support to over 100,000 people annually across England and Scotland facing issues with drugs, alcohol, and mental health.
Our mission is to be a positive, supportive environment where individuals can progress, connect, and receive expert help tailored to their needs.
If you are passionate about helping people with drugs, alcohol, and mental health issues, we want to hear from you.
DE&I

Benefits include:
* 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
