Response Maintenance Electricians are based in - NIHE Cloughfern Depot, Cloughfern Avenue, Newtownabbey, BT37 0UH (normally cover North and West Belfast and surrounding areas) - Portadown Depot, 1a Annagh Hill Industrial Estate, Annagh Hill, Portadown, BT62 3FJ. - Coleraine Depot, 1A Hillman's Way, Coleraine BT52 2ED (currently no vacancies) Response Maintenance Electricians are normally provided with an NIHE vehicle and travel directly from home to their first job undertaking repairs in NIHE properties covered by each of the depots. This role will be expected to cover nighttime and weekend response maintenance call outs on a rota basis. Call out payments and a standby allowance are available in addition to the annual salary. Response Maintenance Electricians may occasionally be required to work for a temporary period in other depots due to work pressures. Electrical Health and Safety Testing Electricians are engaged on a 5 year Province wide inspection programme. Electrical Health and Safety Testing Electricians are assigned to Cloughfern Depot for administrative purposes and would generally undertake testing of NIHE properties within a geographical area within reasonable travelling distance from their home address. Testing electricians are normally provided with an NIHE vehicle and travel directly from home to their first job. This role may be expected to cover nighttime and weekend response maintenance call outs on a rota basis due to staffing pressures. Call out payments and a standby allowance are available in addition to the annual salary. GRADE: BAND 5 JOB PURPOSE: To contribute, to the provision of a modern, professional and responsive service to support NIHE business delivery by conducting electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and diagnostics in Housing Executive properties and carry out health and safety testing of equipment, while upholding safety guidelines and complying with all applicable Codes and Regulations in line with our vision and values as outlined below.
