Responsible for ensuring the smooth running of production lines in a factory site environment. Their job combines machine operation, technical troubleshooting, and process improvement to maintain efficiency, quality, and safety in manufacturing.

Your Role - Technical Production Operator
As a Technical Operator / Production Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring the production line runs smoothly and efficiently. Your main responsibilities include:
1. Maintain, operate, and improve manufacturing processes
2. Carrying out machine changeovers and tooling adjustments
3. Driving OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and production performance
4. Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures
5. Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement
6. Operating Machinery that process, convert and make materials
7. Running automated or semi-automated machines
8. Adjusting machine settings to maintain product quality
9. Monitoring performance to ensure smooth operation
10. Diagnosing and fixing minor mechanical or technical faults
11. Reporting more complex issues to the engineering team
12. Line Changeovers & Setups
13. Switching production lines for different products
14. Adjusting tooling and settings to match specifications
15. Ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency
16. Checking finished products for defects
17. Ensuring all processes meet health, safety, and quality standards
18. Recording data on performance and quality
Continuous Improvement
Identifying areas to improve speed, efficiency, and waste reduction.
Role Requirements & Skills - Technical Production Operator
1. Experience in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment (Manufacturing, automotive, chemicals, or similar)
2. Strong mechanical aptitude - hands-on with machines and equipment
3. A problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
4. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in engineering/mechanics is a plus
5. Mechanically minded individuals who enjoy hands-on work
6. Problem solvers who can think quickly on their feet
7. Team players who can communicate with operators, engineers, and supervisors
