Job summary We are looking for an efficient and friendly maternity Care Assistant/Admin assistant to join our team in outpatient Antenatal clinic. You will be assisting in the running of the clinic including supporting the Midwifery and Admin team providing care for high risk pregnant people. Main duties of the job To actively take part in meeting the needs of the patients under the supervision of a qualified midwife, working within the Trust's policies and procedures and the philosophy of the department. To be an effective member of a multidisciplinary team under the direction and supervision of a Registered Midwife (RM). Where appropriate, to continue to develop own capabilities in nursing tasks in order to deliver a high standard of care under the supervision of a RM. To participate in ensuring effective use of resources and reduction of wastage within the department. The post holder will have direct contact with patients in their capacity as an MCA/receptionist within the outpatient setting, under the supervision of a RM. To participate in the reception of patients attending as outpatients to ensure that they experience a smooth and effective journey through the department, this will include working closely with all staff in this area.
