Our client is looking for an Engineering Manager for a long-term project in the North West. This will be for a first of its kind, large diameter, high-pressure, cross-country pipeline. Reporting to the Project Technical Director, the Engineering Manager will be responsible for the strategy, planning, execution, and control of the detail design and procurement.
Key Duties and Experience:
1. Exceptional technical knowledge of the engineering requirements relative to cross-country pipelines and, specifically, code requirements related to carbon dioxide transportation.
2. Proven ownership & accountability, judgment, and decision-making.
3. Multiple years of project management experience for cross-country pipelines or a similar discipline.
4. Previous experience working as an Engineering Manager or similar with a good understanding of all disciplines and their part in the overall project execution.
5. Skilled in identifying, handling, and mitigating technical risk in construction projects.
6. Willingness to work in different locations for short or medium periods and to travel nationally.
7. Chartered Engineer or equivalent industry experience.
8. Management experience of engineering disciplines.
9. Experience in a similar role.
