Maintenance Operative Opportunity!
Location: Secondary School, Battersea
Salary: £32,000 - £34,887 per annum
Hours: 08:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
Flexible start/finish times available. Additional hours may be offered with options for overtime or time off in lieu.

T4S Education are working with a secondary school in Battersea London with the recruitment of a maintenance operative!
Job Purpose
To manage and undertake maintenance tasks and minor building projects, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, decorating, plumbing, plastering, and minor electrical works.
* Plan and deliver minor building projects to a high standard, sourcing cost-effective materials.
* Conduct inspections, monitor building systems, and report urgent maintenance issues.
* Supervise contractors and assist with stock management of consumables and tools.
* Respond to emergency repairs and ensure accurate record-keeping.
* Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and support Gatehouse/Security duties as needed.

Person Specification
Essential:
* Broad building maintenance experience (carpentry, decorating, plumbing, minor electrical work)
* Health & Safety knowledge and compliance
* Strong problem-solving and planning skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* Physically fit and self-motivated
Desirable:
* Technical or HSE qualifications
* Experience in an educational setting
