Behaviour Teaching Assistant - Stockport Position: Behaviour Teaching Assistant Location: Stockport Start Date: January 2025 Salary: £70-£90 per day (dependent on experience) Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and proactive Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Stockport. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience or an interest in working with students who require additional behavioural support to help them thrive academically and socially. Key Responsibilities: Supporting students with behavioural difficulties both inside and outside of the classroom. Implementing strategies and interventions to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation. Assisting students in overcoming challenges to engage with their learning and stay focused during lessons. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to tailor support and track progress for students with behavioural needs. Offering one-to-one or small group support to students who may need additional help managing behaviour and building self-confidence. Encouraging positive communication, respect, and collaboration among students. Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff and parents when necessary. What We’re Looking For: Experience working with students who exhibit challenging behaviour, either in a school setting or through voluntary work. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with students who require additional support. Ability to create a positive learning environment where students feel safe and supported. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff. A proactive attitude and willingness to collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
