We are working with a high-achieving, dynamic secondary school located in the heart of Rainham, Essex who are seeking a Humanities Teacher. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our vibrant team and contribute to the development of our students’ critical thinking, creativity, and understanding of the world.
As a Humanities Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering high-quality lessons in History, Geography, and other related subjects within the Humanities curriculum. You will be part of a supportive and experienced team, working in a well-resourced department to create engaging, challenging, and meaningful learning experiences. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting academic excellence, encouraging student curiosity, and fostering a love of learning.
This is a fixed-term contract Humanities Teacher vacancy, with opportunity to become permanent in September 2025.
Requirements
The desired Humanities Teacher will be able to;
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and effective Humanities lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
Promote critical thinking and independent learning by encouraging students to analyse, question, and discuss historical and geographical topics.
Differentiate teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those with additional needs.
Assess and monitor student progress, offering feedback and support to ensure continuous improvement.
Actively contribute to the department’s planning, sharing resources, and collaborating with colleagues.
