We are now supporting one of the country's leading establishments in their sector, based in the very scenic Tring area in Hertfordshire, working with them to find their new Senior IT Support Technician.
You'd be joining a small and very friendly team as part of this role and will be providing on-site support, so you would need to be in a commutable distance to Tring as this role is 100% office based due to the nature of the role.
Day-to-day your time would be split in half between providing tech support, training and guiding to those on-site of varying levels and the other half would be spent maintaining, updating and replacing IT systems, hardware and software (including phones, desktops, printers, AV equipment etc.).
We need this person to be great with people as you'll be providing support and guidance to plenty of people at all sorts of levels of technical knowledge, as well as the ability to work in quite a demanding and pressured environment at times.
The job will be paying somewhere between the bracket of £36,000 to £40,000 for the right person, plus some benefits that include free and delicious hot and cold meals available daily, good pension, 28 days holiday + bank holidays and staff discounts. As well as free on-site parking, cycle to work schemes and working in a very beautiful and magical location daily.
As mentioned above too, you must be able to get in daily, this position is fully site based due to the in-person daily support element and the hours are 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Main duties
1. Providing first and second line support
2. Maintaining, updating & monitoring IT systems
3. IT administration, adding users, asset tracking, MIS tasks
4. Creating and updating IT documentation and help guides
5. IT hardware replacement cycles
6. Assisting with project delivery

1. Demonstrable experience in customer facing technical support roles, 1st line support experience essential.
2. Strong communication skills and highly articulate - whether in person, by phone or by email
