From day one, you’ll enjoy the freedom to make decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You’ll be hands-on with reactive repairs and proactive preventive maintenance, playing a critical role in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and efficiency of our multi-axis CNC machining centres and automation cells, while ensuring maximum operating up-time. As a time-served Maintenance Technician with a strong CNC background, you will work on our fast-paced, highly-automated cylinder head machining lines in a dynamic operating environment of machining and assembly lines.
You should apply if you have:
* You will be qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance or Engineering

* Knowledge of Siemens 840D drives and Fanuc PMC controls would be beneficial
* You should have mechanical and electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience
* You will possess a natural ability to analyse problematic situations and come up with effective solutions, quickly and with confidence
* Experience of Fanuc and KUKA robotics, Siemens S7 / TIA PLC is preferred, but not essential
* You will use your excellent communication and organisational skills to motivate and inspire those around you to deliver effectively. A team player, you will be open and understanding of the power that comes from collaboration with your colleagues and the wider networks around you.
* Confident with any technical difficulties you may face, you’ll have the self-assurance to ask the right questions and take note of how best to move projects forward
* You should have the right to work in the UK and be geographically mobile should your training or project work require it
* The role is shift-based so you should be able to commit to working a shift pattern
Key tasks and responsibilities:
* You will carry out reactive maintenance and breakdown response for our CNC multi-axis machinery, using your analytical skills and solutions-focused mindset to find both short-term solutions and long-term fixes to any issues found
* You will carry out a range of preventative work and routine inspections to identify issues prior to breakdowns, performing scheduled maintenance tasks to maintain machine accuracy and longevity
* You will keep detailed records and data of maintenance activities, parts and replacements, using machine performance data to predict and prevent potential failures
* Collaborating alongside colleagues in Maintenance, Engineering and Production, you will identify ways and upgrades to improve machine efficiency and optimise ongoing performance as part of our continuous improvement programme
* You will ensure that all maintenance activities are in line with our strict plant safety standards and adhere to industry regulations and standards
* As part of a hard-working and close-knit team, you will take great responsibility for the part you play in successful delivery, demonstrating a motivated and transparent attitude to all you do, while taking ownership for the development of your own personal skills and training opportunities
