The Role:
Reviewing production documentation and inspecting the quality of production equipment.
Overseeing the non-conformance and change management process across the production cycle, from the machine shop to package assembly and testing.
Monitoring build processes and inspecting components throughout manufacturing, using contract-specific Inspection and Test Plans (I&TP).
Supporting instrumentation and equipment calibration activities.
Conducting inspections and assessments, including using Faro 3D CMM measuring equipment.
Inspecting painted components, including checks on paint adhesion, thickness, and quality.
Assessing the quality of welds using visual and basic measuring equipment.
Reporting on non-conformances to specifications and drawings.
Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met.
You:
A HNC/D or City and Guilds in Mechanical Engineering, or demonstrable industry experience.
Experience in Quality Inspection within a manufacturing or engineering environment, including Metrology/Calibration/FARO Arm CMM.
Knowledge and understanding of various manufacturing processes and the ability to evaluate and solve problems.
The ability to interpret engineering drawings, certification, client specifications, and standards (API, ISO, PED, etc.).
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workloads and handle competing priorities.
Excellent communication skills to establish effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Basic hours: Office hours are 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 08.30 to 17.00 (30 minutes unpaid lunch break), and Friday from 08.30 to 13.00.
