Job Description
Job Duties:
The GCSE English and Maths SEN Tutor will be responsible for providing tailored support and tuition to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the subjects of English and Maths at a GCSE level. Duties include developing individualised learning plans, delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and providing feedback and support to help students achieve their academic goals.
Required Qualifications:
- A relevant teaching qualification
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Strong knowledge of the GCSE English and Maths curriculum
Education:
A degree in Education or a related field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a SEN setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional qualifications in Special Education Needs (SEN)
Working Conditions:
This role will involve working with students on a one-to-one basis. The tutor may need to travel to different locations within the East of England area to provide tuition. The working hours are full-time, and flexibility may be required to accommodate students' schedules.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
