Robert Half is assisting a Travel Insurance company to recruit a FRENCH Speaking Underwriter Assistant to join the team.
Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Underwriter Assistant to join our dynamic team of a global leading provider of travel insurance.
As an Underwriter Assistant, you will be working under the direction of the Underwriting Director and the Underwriters and reporting to the Operations Director. You will provide essential administrative and technical support to the underwriting team in evaluating, processing, and managing travel insurance policies. Responsibilities:
* To provide a high level of customer care.
* To carry out the administrative processes for new and renewing bonds, policies and ABTOT memberships to the standards set by the company.
* To provide support to the Underwriting Director and Underwriters.
* To maintain the portfolio of the company clients.
Administration
* Collating and processing application information for new and existing clients in a timely manner.
* Ensuring the completeness of each application and where appropriate verifying the information before presentation to the underwriters. Requesting additional information where deemed necessary by the underwriters.
* Preparing renewal invitations, quotations, counter indemnities, bonds and policies and all other documentation in relation to applications in a timely manner.
* Maintaining files and database information relating to clients, ensuring that all data is current, complete, and accurate.
* Processing membership and bonding enquiries and applications from new and existing members of ABTOT.
Customer care
* Providing a high level of customer care and assistance to prospective and existing clients. This includes assisting clients with all aspects of an application.
* Responding in a knowledgeable and efficient manner to enquiries received. Also following up and concluding all enquiries.
* Liaising with brokers regarding the status of new and renewing applications.
Monitoring
* Monitoring client declarations, ensuring all requests are received and verified in a timely manner.
* Monitoring client websites, invoices and brochure wordings to ensure compliance with regulations and policy conditions.
Marketing
* Assisting with the promotion of the companies products.
General

Requirements:
* Language: MUST HAVE Native French speaker and English
* Education: A degree or diploma in insurance, business, or a related field is an advantage.
* Experience: Some experience in the insurance industry or administrative roles is preferred but not essential. Travel insurance experience is a plus.
Skills:
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
