We are looking to appoint an Early Years Foundation Stage Leader to join our dedicated and supportive team at Our Lady Catholic Primary School. This role is well suited to an experienced Early Years Practitioner who is looking to take the next step into leadership or an individual with experience leading EYFS. We are looking for an inspirational, enthusiastic and dedicated candidate to complement our ambitious and successful team. As EYFS Leader, your role will be to act as the lead professional for Early Years, ensuring outstanding provision is developed and that all staff in the Foundation Stage are outstanding practitioners. Your responsibilities will include: • Being part of the school’s Senior Leadership Team; • Quality assuring the weekly and medium term planning of staff within the foundation stage; • Coordinating the resources for teaching and learning within the foundation stage; • Daily rotas and changes within the foundation stage; • Running assemblies; • Monitoring behaviour within the foundation stage; • Tracking progress and attainment of learners and co-ordinating interventions; • Ensuring the availability of advice to all members of the foundation stage for consistency; • Attending meetings and lead staff CPD as appropriate; • Acting as line manager for staff appraisals. Qualifications and Experience: We would like to hear from you if you have: • Qualified Teacher Status; • Experience in EYFS; • A proven track record of recent and successful class teaching in EYFS/KS1; • Successful experience of teaching the primary curriculum; • Good understanding of current theory and best practice in teaching and learning, particularly as it relates to achieving high rates of progress of children of primary age; • Good subject knowledge of the National Curriculum; • Experience supporting pupils who speak English as an additional language; • A strong knowledge of the teaching of Early Reading.
