Summary
We are looking for a Commercial Analyst to join our Financial Services team at M&S.
Focusing on Product Performance and Insights, you will deliver analysis which allows the business to better understand customer behaviours by segment, channel, proposition, enabling us to understand how product use drives spend and engagement.
To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.
What you'll do
Your key accountabilities will include:
* Delivering Commercial product performance analysis and insights, to support new design and continuous improvement of M&S Financial Services' customer propositions, customer experience journeys and customer communications.
* Working closely with FS Commercial and Marketing roles to fully understand requirements and provide collaborative solutions based on a commercial and analytical understanding.
* Identifying and understanding trends in product commercial performance to inform changes to propositions and marketing briefs.
* Analysing and developing a deep understanding of customer behaviours by segment, channel, proposition (e.g. Service hubs impact, spend uplift of Club Rewards, customer attrition).
* Forecasting the impact of new propositions on the P&L via a deep understanding of how current product use drives spend & engagement. Supporting annual product budget processes and forecasts (customer volumes and product use).
* Supporting the implementation of the new 3rd party data sharing model with Bank and other 3rd parties, working with internal and external parties.
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include:
* Experience in financial services.
* CLTV modelling, delivering product optimization through Incremental analysis, opportunity sizing and valuations.
* An ability to take a broad view of the business and identify the relevant information for decision making.
* Strong story-telling capabilities with excellent communication skills with ability to flex style depending on environment.
* Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, MS Power BI and Excel with experience and training of using both simple statistical and data science techniques (e.g. forecasting, regression, clustering etc).
