About you
* You will have previous experience in counter fraud or be able to demonstrate transferable skills from a similar background.
* Have a genuine interest in local government and a passion for supporting organisations achieve their plans and priorities.

* Have a strong ethical mindset and commitment to the Public Sector Fraud Authority Standards.
* Possess strong communication and report writing skills, able to write professional evidence-based audit reports.
* Be able to display professional courage in communicating assignment results to senior stakeholders.

About the team
As a service, we have an excellent reputation and a forward-thinking approach. We are crucial in ensuring that governance, risk management, and control frameworks are robust and effective, and we play our part in supporting service areas to drive continuous improvement.
Your role in the team will be to support the councils in achieving their goals through independent and objective assessment and reporting of risks, controls, and governance. You will be supported by a principal auditor and team manager to ensure timely, accurate, value-adding counter fraud review outcomes are achieved.
About the role
You will have the opportunity to undertake a wide variety of counter fraud reviews and fraud risk assessments to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes. In undertaking individual counter fraud assignments, you will directly contribute towards the overall delivery of the counter fraud plan.
You will embrace the opportunity to manage and deliver counter fraud assignments from the annual counter fraud plans, ensuring compliance with counter fraud standards and processes to deliver control management on areas of risk across the organisations.
As you will be expected to work across our Lincolnshire-based clients, a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
