The Role As a Business Development Manager, you will: ✔️ Identify and engage new customers across key industrial sectors, introducing them to world-leading power transmission solutions. ✔️ Develop and execute a market strategy, expanding the company’s reach and ensuring sustainable business growth. ✔️ Foster and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers, engineers, and procurement teams. ✔️ Provide technical expertise on product applications to ensure optimal solutions for customers. ✔️ Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals and supporting post-sales relationships. ✔️ Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry networking events to enhance brand awareness and generate new business leads. ✔️ Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive edge. ✔️ Work closely with internal teams, including R&D, engineering, and customer support, to ensure seamless project execution. ✔️ Utilize CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and LinkedIn to manage customer interactions and track sales activity. What We’re Looking For Degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Knowledge of power transmission technology, including couplings, gearboxes and drive systems. Proven experience in business development, applications engineering, technical sales, or account management. Industry experience within renewables, oil & gas, mining, marine, cement, steel, or other heavy industrial sectors. Strong commercial and strategic acumen, with a results-driven approach to market expansion. Excellent communication skills, able to engage both technical and commercial stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LinkedIn, and CRM systems. Willingness to travel UK-wide to meet clients and attend industry events.
