Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Retail Shop Manager to lead and manage our store, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient operations, and strong sales performance. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, particularly in lentils, beans, spices, nuts, dried fruits, and ethnic snacks, along with strong leadership skills to drive the business forward.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail store, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
2. Drive sales performance, meeting and exceeding targets through strategic planning and excellent execution.
3. Monitor stock levels, ensuring availability of key products while minimizing wastage.
4. Implement and maintain store merchandising standards to enhance the shopping experience.
5. Conduct regular competitor analysis and suggest strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
Customer Experience & Service
1. Ensure a high standard of customer service by training and motivating the store team.
2. Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
3. Implement loyalty programs and promotional campaigns effectively.
Team Leadership & People Management
1. Recruit, train, and develop store staff to maintain a high-performing team.
2. Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and motivate employees to achieve their best.
3. Organize staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficiency.
4. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, aligned with company values.
Inventory & Stock Control
1. Work closely with suppliers and the purchasing team to ensure timely restocking of key products.
2. Manage stock audits, minimize losses, and ensure compliance with stock control policies.
3. Identify fast-moving products and trends to optimize stock levels.
Financial & Compliance Management
1. Manage cash handling, banking procedures, and financial reporting accurately.
2. Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and food safety standards.
3. Control expenses and work within the allocated budget to maximize profitability.
