We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Junior Operational Manager to join our Medicine & Emergency Care Business Unit. The successful post holder will support the senior team and have responsibility for the delivery of safe and effective Patient Flow throughout the Trust, alongside responsibility for an Operational Services Manager patch including Discharge Lounge, 2 wards & Procedures Unit.

Key Responsibilities:
* To ensure effective leadership, management, coordination and control of a defined area within the directorate at an Operational level.
* To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.
* To provide leadership support in the development of clinical and support services.
* To actively support the general manager in and contribute to the development of Directorate strategy and objective setting.
* To support the achievement of objectives within both the trust and Directorate.
* To support the General Manager in the delivery of services so as to meet the performance targets for the trust.
* To participate in the Managers on call system on a frequent basis.
* To effectively manage the pay and non-pay resource.
* To actively contribute to the achievements of the Directorate’s business plan.
* To plan for future growth, changes in working practices and project manage changes to successful implementation.
