Our Talking Therapies service has been available to the LGBT communities of the North West for over a decade. This counselling service offers access to LGBT affirmative therapy, counselling with an LGBT specialist therapist and free sessions for individuals and couples.
We are now looking for a Programme Co-ordinator to join us on a full-time, permanent (subject to funding) basis.

The Role
As a Programme Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for the operational, day-to-day oversight and co-ordination of our Talking Therapies Programme.
Overseeing the referral pathways, you will manage the waiting list and our electronic databases, acting as the first point of contact for Talking Therapies service users and ensuring they are allocated in a timely manner.
You will also manage the recruitment, training and support of volunteers, responding to enquiries, delivering interviews and feedback and managing admin duties.
Additionally, you will:
- Deliver Talking Therapies wellbeing assessments to identify therapeutic goals
- Support clients using SilverCloud (Online Mental Health and Wellbeing Platform)
- Assess and monitor risk in line with our framework, policies and procedures
- Use monitoring systems to collect and report data relating to our services and clients
About You
To be considered as a Programme Co-ordinator, you will need:
- Experience of co-ordinating caseloads and delivering wellbeing support to clients
- Experience of working in a service delivery role, supporting vulnerable people
- Experience of representing a project and/or agency at meetings, conferences, etc.
- Experience of developing and maintaining cross-agency relationships and making referrals
- Experience of recruiting, training and supervising staff and/or volunteers
- Experience of working in a busy service within a multi-disciplinary team
- An understanding of LGBT communities and their needs
- An understanding of the different modalities of counselling practice
- An understanding of the principles of mental health and wellbeing
- An understanding of the principles of safeguarding and confidentiality
- Effective and adaptable communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in IT
