Working within the Hardware Engineering function, the job holder will be responsible for document creation and adaptation in developing electrical panel specifications, cabling and interface designs. A few of our employee benefits are: - Hybrid working where possible - 60% onsite requirement over a month - Half day finish on a Friday - 25 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays), increasing with long service and with the opportunity to buy/sell up to 5 days - Private medical insurance with optional family cover - Pension scheme of up to 7% employer contribution - Life Assurance 4x salary (flexible up to 10x) - Group income protection - Flexible opt-in extras such as a health care cash plan, dental insurance, gym membership, critical illness cover and cycle to work scheme - Employee assistance program providing mental health and wellbeing support - Professional registration with the IET (Engineers only) What the role will involve The responsibilities of your role will include the following: Functional: - Provide Electrical design and engineering services into the various projects being undertaken by the company. - Participate in development of companywide design process framework and underpinning procedures/guidance. - Providing technical support on electrical control panel design and implementation to development projects through all stages of the engineering design lifecycle. - Analysing customer requirements and commercial/industrial/marine standards to specify 'fit for purpose' components. - Generating electrical panel designs, specifications, test instructions, and qualification documents in alignment with the projects engineering management plan, working to schedule and cost. - Produce and maintain technical/equipment specifications; assist in the development of engineering plans; statements of work; technical assessment of client requirements; and the technical evaluation of supplier bids and correspondence. - Produce and maintain ownership of the design deliverable Items, including general arrangement, electrical schematics, wiring drawings, cable schedules, panel/enclosure designs, interface drawings, loop drawings and cable block diagrams, etc. What you'll bring The role requires the following experience and skills: - 5 GCSE's grade 6 and above - Proficient IT skills in all standard Microsoft Office applications - Good communication skills to work as part of a dynamic development team - Effective problem-solving skills Important to know Due to the nature of our work many our roles require a UK nationality and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
