This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join our award-winning Payroll department at UHB. Based at Regent Court, near Five Ways Island in Birmingham City Centre, we provide payroll services to over 20 Trusts in the UK and have circa 100 staff.
As an ever-expanding department, there are progression opportunities available on a regular basis. We expect our staff to be hard working, able to meet strict deadlines and work as part of a growing team.
Payroll is a vital component of the NHS, and we embrace the challenges that the complexities of NHS terms and conditions give to us, to ensure our staff are paid accurately and on time.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* English and Maths GCSE Grade C/Level 5 or above
* NVQ level II admin or equivalent
Experience
* Experience of working in a large shared service environment
* Experience of using Financial and Payroll Systems
* Producing formal business letters, basic reports etc. on own initiative without reference to others
* Following processes, problem solving and delivering to timetables with only the minimal supervision
* Significant Experience working in an NHS payroll environment

* Ability to handle sensitive queries.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Able to prioritise tasks.
