Main duties of the job An exciting opportunity has become available for a Health Care Support Worker to join our caring and professional nursing team delivering care to people accessing primary and community care nursing and respiratory services across Aneurin Bevan University Health board We are a friendly team and welcome applications from Health Care Support Workers who possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and are committed to providing high standards of care for patients, families and carers within the Primary care setting Ideally the candidate will have excellent computer skills You will provide care to patients accessing Primary and Community respiratory services, whilst working under the supervision of a team of registered nurses You will carry out direct care duties under the delegation of a registered nurse e.g. phlebotomy, physiological observations, sample testing, ECG, Spirometry/Feno, Home oxygen post instillation checks(PICS) and Inhaler technique checks You need to have a good standard of education, a caring attitude and be flexible to service needs Ability to work as part of a dedicated team and the enthusiasm to learn is required Successful candidateswill hold aDiploma in Health and Social Care Level 3 or equivalent Experience of working with respiratory patients is essential Ability to travel easily between sites is essential The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply About us Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is a multi-award-winning NHS organisation with a passion for caring.
