KEY ROLE
WTA are looking for an Airfreight Business Development Manager. WTA, an international supply chain management and freight forwarding company, provides a wide range of services to customers of all sizes. This role will be targeting companies with airfreight imports/exports in and out of the UK.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Identify and target potential clients within designated industries and geographical regions to generate new business leads.
2. This is predominantly a road-based sales role, with the occasional attendance of industry events.
3. Utilise various sales strategies, including cold calling, email outreach, social media (LinkedIn) and networking, to engage prospects and schedule meetings with key decision-makers.
4. Manage the entire sales process from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure, ensuring a seamless transition to the operations team for service implementation.
5. Stay informed about industry developments, market trends, and regulatory changes that may impact our business.
6. Be accountable for building a pipeline and showcasing the activity to build a pipeline and close deals by updating and using HubSpot to its fullest.
7. Work with the Marketing team to feed into campaign activity constructively to generate stronger leads and create a kit bag for helping you secure opportunities at speed.
Location: Hybrid with 1-2 days at our Egham Office.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
1. Experience in a sales role, within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
2. Strong Airfreight experience from both operational and sales perspectives.
3. Consultative value selling, shaping opportunities with the customer, and building long-term relationships.
