The role
Reporting to the Director of Sales, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team as a Business Development Manager to identify and develop new business opportunities to increase our market share.
This role will have an objectives-linked incentive payment plan, in addition to base salary, and the company benefits listed below.
What will I be delivering?
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll lead our growth efforts in collaboration with the wider sales team. You will identify new business opportunities and strategic initiatives, develop partnerships, and build our presence in key markets such as UK defence. Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Increasing market awareness internally and externally
2. Growing the sales pipeline of large opportunities
3. Collaborating across cross-functional teams to drive bid success rates and grow deeper relationships with our customers
4. Working on long-term technology partnerships to gain market share and increase value-add
5. Representing Concurrent at networking and sales events
What do I need to bring with me?
1. Demonstrate your understanding of the UK defence market for rugged embedded computing
2. Show us how you’ve turned better relationships into new business
3. Tell us about your best direct and/or channel sales experiences; we are interested in long-term programs
4. Let us know about your knowledge of the market commercial terms, conditions and common requirements
5. Very strong written and person-to-person communications skills
6. Knowledge of embedded computer hardware & software is a bonus, either as buyer or seller
