We are looking for exceptional individuals to be part of a new high profile Team of Community Safety Enforcement Officers. This new and exciting Team will be required to patrol the main urban areas within Barking and Dagenham and be responsible for enforcing Public Space Protection Orders on a shift pattern. You will be working with statutory and voluntary sector organisations, communities, and individuals.
Within this role, you have the opportunity to collectively address persistent and problematic crime and anti-social behaviour within the borough, making a real difference to the lives of residents and businesses within Barking and Dagenham.
Key aspects of the role include:
1. Helping identify individuals and/or locations of significant community safety/antisocial behaviour risk.
2. Engaging with individuals who may need to access council services to assist with any identified vulnerabilities.
3. Compiling and collecting data and information to be presented for review at multi-agency review meetings.
4. Attending community events and engaging with the public to raise awareness of crime issues and provide crime prevention advice to residents.
This role is front-facing and requires a lot of walking/patrolling. The role is based in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and will be operated on a shift rota basis. You will also be required to have a DBS check as this role will be Community Safety Accredited.
