We're looking for a Payroll Team Leader to join our Head Office team based in Bury!
The Payroll team supports our colleagues across the business by ensuring their pay is processed seamlessly. Our aim is to deliver a first class serivce so our colleagues can keep doing what they do best!

What You'll Be Doing:
As a Payroll Team Leader, you'll be doing the following:
* You'll be ensuring the completion of payrolls for 35,000 colleagues over 43 payrolls, including 5 Offshore payrolls, over weekly, lunar and monthly pay frequencies
* You'll be ensuring the team are meeting key deadlines and SLA’s to a high quality
* You'll be promoting best practice and ensuring the team are keeping our colleagues at the centre of what they do
* You'll be training the team on payroll processing and legislative changes, monitoring their performance and helping them develop in their careers.
* You'll be proactively keeping an eye on trends in queries and liaising with key stakeholders across the business to resolve issues at source
* You'll be the go-to person for guidance and support both within the team and across the business.
What We're Looking For:
Desirable skills:
* Experience of working with CoreHR payroll software
* CIPP or similar accredited
* Experience of mentoring a large team
Essential skills:
* Previous experience of working with high volume payrolls
* A solid understanding of payroll, benefits and general legislation, ideally to include some offshore legislation knowledge.
* Strong time management and coordination skills to help manage the team to meet key deadlines
* People focused, with a desire to see your team succeed
* A desire to learn and continuously improve
* A keen eye for detail and accuracy
* Being able to keep our colleagues at the centre of all you do
* Able to organise your time to meet key deadlines both by yourself and as part of the team
* Excellent communication skills to be able to break down pay queries and make them understandable for our colleagues and your team members
