What you'll be doing:
* Electrical/Electronic installation for Comms and C&I test facilities
* Design of Test Infrastructure and Hardware
* Write and produce technical & test documents
* Execute testing and commissioning of installed systems in a high assurance engineering environment
* Working with internal and external stakeholders
* Supporting design reviews and attending Factory Acceptance Tests
* Follow BAE conduct and health & safety practices
* Oversee and support junior team members
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Degree in relevant STEM discipline or equivalent experience (Electrical/Electronic)
* Good technical background and of working within a complex engineering industry
* Good technical knowledge of practicing in at least one of the following areas: Communications Systems (Voice Over IP (VOIP) networks, Broadcast (PA) or trunked radio systems) or Control & Instrumentation (Siemens, Allan Bradley and Fanuc PLCs)
Desirable:
* CEng, MIET (or be able to work towards satisfying requirements for CEng)
* Experience of Test and Acceptance within a high assurance engineering environment
* Knowledge of Systems Engineering, Requirements Management, Engineering Life cycle and quality assurance
* Experience of coaching junior team members

The Test & Facilities (T&F) Hardware Team:
As a Senior Engineer (Control & Instrumentation), you will be part of the Test & Facilities Hardware team that is responsible for the test and acceptance of electrical/electronic communication & control systems for the Dreadnought submarine build. The team also oversees the development and maintenance of the large lab area within the facility, covering infrastructure, cabling, configuration management, and the installation and commissioning of equipment prior to test. You will be responsible for carrying out a range of test and commissioning activities to validate the equipment design. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
