General description:
Responsible for creating quotations and tenders for large scale FF&E packages – most specifically bedroom and kitchen furniture in sectors including student accommodation, BTR and Co-living.
Principal Tasks:
Producing accurate quotations for contractors, largely based on technical drawings, BoQs, CGIs, descriptions etc.
Meeting clients, contractors and architects as required to understand requirements. Professional conduct essential
Meeting suppliers as required, to understand products or negotiate pricing.
Keeping good record of tenders going out and product quotations coming in
Following up tender enquiries to improve sales and brand visibility.
Establishing and maintaining good relationships with suppliers and clients
Assisting colleagues with costings, surveys, enquiries, and any other work related to the department and/or business in general.
Updating tender tracker and pipeline docs
Formal reporting as required.
Maintaining and updating supplier, product, and pricing databases
Skills and requirements:
Good experience with Excel
Skill in reading construction drawings
Numerical, mathematical mind
Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail
Patience and focus
Commitment to learning, developing skills base and engaging in and promoting best practice
