Employment Solicitor (3+ PQE) – Employee-Focused Role – Nottingham (Hybrid)
Our client, a well-regarded law firm in Nottingham, is seeking a talented Employment Solicitor (minimum 3 years PQE) to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to advocate for individuals in a predominantly employee-focused caseload (approximately 80% claimant work).
Role details
* Advise and represent professional clients, including teachers, doctors, pharmacists, and other high-skilled employees.
* Handle a wide range of employment law matters, both contentious and non-contentious.
* Work on cases involving unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, workplace grievances, and contract disputes.
* Conduct Employment Tribunal advocacy, representing clients to achieve justice.
* Manage cases from initial consultation to resolution, providing expert legal advice and support.
* Work closely with the head of the employment team, benefiting from mentorship and collaboration.
* Step into a busy caseload from day one, as the role has arisen due to growth in demand.
Candidate fit
* Qualified Solicitor status with 3+ years PQE in employment law (up to Senior Associate level).
* A proven track record in employment litigation and advisory work.
* A genuine passion for representing individuals facing workplace challenges.
* Experience acting for employees (claimants) – highly advantageous.
* Confidence in managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
* Strong advocacy skills – enjoys representing clients in Employment Tribunal hearings.
* Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to handle settlement discussions tactfully.
* A professional and empathetic approach when handling sensitive employment issues.
* A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for employees.
