Getout what you putin
You will work aspart of the leadership team and report directly to the HeadTeacher for this crucial role. You will have the opportunity tocollaborate with other members of the Witherslack Group team indifferent locations to enable you to progress and develop yourskills and knowledge.
As a Deputy DesignatedSafeguarding Lead, you will support the DSL to ensure that theactions are taken to support and safeguard children withinthe school, this will include in a daily basis, undertaking tasksthat are delegated to you by the DSL including,liaising with statutory and non-statutory agencies,parents/carers and staff on matters of wellbeing, child protectionand safeguarding and will also support the wider school team.

Bringyour whole-self towork
Tojoin us, you will have at least 2 years’ experience of being in aDeputy Designated Safeguarding Lead position in a school settingpreviously with a comprehensive portfolio of CPD related toSafeguarding and Child Protection. Experience of using MicrosoftOffice and other IT based systems would also be valuable together with outstanding interpersonal and problemresolution skills. A genuinely empathetic approach is alsoessential. Finally, you must be ready to support theDesignated Safeguarding Lead in their statutory duty and beable to work under your own initiative, and you will need a full UKdrivinglicence.
