Lead the Site Hygiene Team to deliver the strategy for Food Safety & Hygiene whilst complying with legislation and driving improvement through governance and initiatives. Build a safety culture across the site, reducing hazards, risks and incidents by driving the Health & Safety agenda through strong hygiene practices. Ensure team members have the correct training and resource to complete the required task in a safe manner. To ensure the SOPs are maintained and that the team are complying to the processes. Communicate the progress against targets regularly up and down the organisation ensuring that KPI's are being reviewed and acted upon. To drive technical excellence for hygiene standards as part of OPEX- Manufacturing Standard (MS). Build relationships and maintain strong communication with effective handovers between days and nights To develop a strong working relationship with our chemical and cleaning equipment suppliers to ensure we are gaining innovation and full contract support. To ensure the right resource is in place, with the right capability, to deliver the food safety and hygiene strategy. To support the Operational team with factory issues and support root cause analysis through active participation of the team. Maintain the site hygiene budget for the site. Drive continuous improvement at site to improve our hygiene systems and processes through Group and Site initiatives. To be a values champion for Hygiene and drive employee engagement actions throughout the team. Responsibilities: Lead the Hygiene Team to ensure they are engaged and high performing with a focus on problem solving and teamwork. Ensure the correct resource is in place at the right capability. To be the functional hygiene expert at site. Ensure the OPEX-MS Standards are met by the site and regularly audited to ensure compliance. Ensure team members have the correct training and resource to complete the required task in a safe manner. To ensure the SOPs are maintained and that the team are complying to the processes. To measure hygiene KPIs and ensure any adverse metric is investigated and acted upon. To drive technical excellence for hygiene standards as part of OPEX- Manufacturing Standard (MS). Manage the relationship with key chemical and hygiene equipment suppliers. To seek new innovation and best practices. Support the internal and external audit process and ensure team complete corrective actions. Essential Criteria: Working knowledge of BRC and industry regulations Extensive knowledge of hygiene best practices. Experience in completing Hygiene audits and reviews of SOPs Proven track record in leading others Results focused with the ability to influence others Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
