Job description:
The Centre for Machine Intelligence (CMI) at the University of Sheffield wishes to recruit an Academic Fellow in AI for Health (Grade 7).
The CMI is a strategic initiative supported by a £3.64m investment, dedicated to the transformation and acceleration of research, innovation, and teaching on and with AI.
As an Academic Fellow in AI for Health, you will conduct personal research within the Centre for Machine Intelligence (CMI), working in the area of AI for health. You will work closely with the CMI’s Academic Theme Lead in AI for Health in the overarching theme of AI-enabled research.
You will have a background in research on and around AI for Health and have experience of working with healthcare data. You will also have experience of interdisciplinary collaboration, especially with STEM disciplines.
During your three-year Fellowship, you will work with the other CMI Fellows, the CMI Theme Leads, and the Centre Director to ensure that the CMI is at the forefront of AI research, innovation, and impact, nationally and internationally. In addition, you will deliver some teaching with an expectation of progression to Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the conclusion of your Fellowship, within an appropriate School, subject to completion of agreed objectives.
