We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic professional to join our community team as a lead for our brand new community team, serving the most vulnerable and socially complex families living in the Andover Area. As a team manager, you will manage two small midwifery teams in neighbouring geographical areas.
We want to foster a team ethos that is flexible and adapts quickly to the changing needs of the population. You should be passionate about providing exceptional quality midwifery care which is personalised and responds to the needs of the woman and her family.
The successful candidate should be a forward-thinking problem solver with experience in all areas of maternity care. We are looking for someone who is motivated and inspired to create a positive environment for staff and patients. You should have at least 12 months of experience in a line manager role, including HR management such as sickness, capability, and appraisals.
You should have recent experience in intrapartum care in either an acute site, a midwifery-led unit, or within a homebirth team. You will need to be highly organised and adaptable with proven leadership skills.
Applicants must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Main duties of the job
You should be a strong visible leader with clinical and managerial skills and a role model of the highest professional standards of practice and conduct who understands and seeks to improve the overall woman's experience. Working collaboratively and actively within the clinical management team, the post holder has:
• Managerial responsibility for the provision of safe coordinated care across Hampshire Hospital Maternity Services within the sphere of practice.
• Visible clinical leadership through effective monitoring and implementation of evidence-based standards.
• Supervising and supporting all levels of staff and delegating women's care and staff appropriately.
• Commitment to and undertaking clinical on-calls (6 per year).
• Responsible for providing clinical antenatal/intrapartum and postnatal midwifery care to women.
• Creating an environment to normalise birth and actively support the public health agenda.
• Managerial time - 0.2 wte per week.

Salary: £46,148 to £52,809 a year (per annum pro rata)
