We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Care Support Worker to join our team in Cwmbran, Monmouthshire. Our client is looking to come out of their supported living arrangement and move into their own home. You will be responsible for supporting their transition in this period and maintaining their health after.
Main duties of the job
The Spinal Injury Support Worker (Days) role involves engaging with personalised routines, completing daily living activities, administering medication, providing emotional support, and maintaining accurate records of care. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
Job responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
* Engaging with personalised routines
* Completing daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
* Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
* Providing emotional support and companionship.
* Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions.
* Collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Working Hours: You will be a part of a team delivering 2:1 care 24/7. The day shift will cover 08:00 – 20:00.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work the specified hours.

* Both online and in-person training.
Training & Background Checks: An enhanced DBS check & full training will be provided prior to commencing work with our client and you will also be supported by our clinical lead nurse for the area.
