Compressor Machine Operative - GranthamAs a Machine Operative, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for operating advanced machinery used to safely dismantle compressors from refrigerators and other cooling appliances. This role does not require previous experience, as comprehensive training will be provided. We are seeking motivated individuals with commitment, drive, and determination to ensure the efficient operation of our fully automated equipment, all while maintaining a focus on high environmental standards and employee health and safety within a controlled working environment. In this role you will be required to work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern starting 6am-6pm days and 6pm-6am nights.Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation: Safely operate and monitor automated machinery used to dismantle compressors from refrigerators and other cooling appliances, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.Blade and Component Changes: Perform regular blade changes and adjustments to machine components as needed to maintain optimal performance and avoid downtime.Routine Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of the machine, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team, and assisting with basic troubleshooting.Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines, ensuring safe operation of the machinery and maintaining a safe work environment for all staff.Quality Control: Monitor the dismantling process to ensure that work is completed to the highest quality standards while meeting environmental and safety regulations.Work Area Maintenance: Keep the machine and surrounding area clean and organized, adhering to company policies on workplace cleanliness and hygiene.Process Monitoring and Reporting: Track and document machine performance, production metrics, and any operational issues, reporting them to supervisors as required. This is not an exhaustive list.
