This Jointer will report to the field staff supervisor and will work within network operations based in our Kingston office. You will be a permanent employee in our UK Power Networks team.
You will attract a salary of £42,005 dependant on experience plus shift allowance + benefits and a bonus of 3%.
If you are successful, you will need to undertake a medical and DBS reference check

UK Power Networks
UK Power Networks owns and maintains electricity cables and lines across London, the South East and East of England. We maintain and upgrade power equipment and move and connect new electricity cables.
Job Purpose
To manage electrical works which range from the connection of new supplies, diversion and alterations to locating and repairing faults.
Principal Accountabilities:
10. Location and restoration of faults on the LV underground Network.
11. Domestic connection of new/altered housing supplies and reinforcements.
12. Connection of diversions both HV/LV for developers or Local Authorities up to 33KV.
13. Responsibility for all aspects of Safety, Health and Environment in this role.
14. Delivery of the job to time and guaranteed service levels.
15. Efficient use of materials.
16. Completion of work to the correct specification.
17. To perform risk assessments and maintain safe working practices.
18. Immediate management of Craft Attendant.
19. Use of appropriate IT equipment including TDR, LV Faults sniffer and FFE equipment
20. Supervision of excavating teams
Nature and Scope
You will work with the team to achieve the targets set out in the Performance Dashboard. You will work under your own initiative and demonstrate the ability to perform risk assessments to create a safe working environment.
Qualifications:

21. City and Guilds 2339 (formally 2322) certificate
22. HAUC (NRSWA) qualification as a supervisor and operative
23. Flexibility and able to work in a team environment
24. Ability to problem solve in a practical way
25. Able to work under pressure
26. Must have a clean driving licence
27. Understanding operational and 1:500 diagrams
