Job summary This is an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Administration Assistant to work within the Long Term, Urgent, Cancer and Community (LTUCC) services directorate at Harrogate District Hospital. The directorate delivers a wide range of services including several inpatient wards, a range of medical specialties (including respiratory medicine, acute medicine, dermatology etc) the emergency department, pharmacy and adult community services. The role has been developed to support our medical rota team, who create the rotas for medical staff across the medical services and wards, support trainees joining the organisation and manage various rota processes including annual leave, sickness, absence and recruitment. Opportunities will arise throughout the apprenticeship to explore new administrative skills, grow an understanding of the NHS and identify future opportunities for candidates with the right skills and aptitude to move ahead. The post holder will be based within the LTUCC management offices, providing support to the Rota Coordinator team through the provision of efficient, effective administrative support. The successful candidate will be supported to undertake a period of 16 months training, under the direction and supervision of a member of the team, to complete a Customer service/Business Administration apprenticeship with MBKB training via day release to attend training.
