Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Community Services team, you will:
*Conduct medicines optimisation monitoring visits to intermediate care units across Solihull.
*Oversee systems related to the ordering, storage, handling, administration, and disposal of medicines, ensuring adherence to the highest standards.
*Produce detailed reports after each visit, highlighting findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions for care unit managers and the Community Services Pharmacist.
*Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the prescribing support team, BSOL CCG, and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC), to address and resolve any issues identified.
To excel in this role, you will have:
*A nationally recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification and active registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
*An accredited accuracy checking qualification.
*Significant experience within a Pharmacy setting.
*A flexible approach to accommodate service needs, including participation in evening, weekend, and bank holiday rotations.

1. Must have the following:
2. *Professional Registration with the GPhC.
3. *Dispensing Accuracy Accreditation. West Midland's scheme or equivalent.
4. *Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
5. *Accredited Checking Technician (National Framework) or equivalent.
6. Plus one of the following:

9. *BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science and Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills

13. *Two years' work experience in Pharmacy pre-qualification
14. *Currently practicing as a band 4 pharmacy technician / equivalent or above with post-qualification experience within an acute setting
15. *The ability to demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge and the relevant practical experience for the post
16. *Significant experience within a pharmacy setting
17. *Experience of the specialist function for area of responsibility
18. *Experience of organising other grades of staff and their workload
19. *Experienced in working to policies and procedures
20. *Significant experience within a hospital pharmacy setting
