Role: Delivery Driver & Warehouse Operative (Customer Envoy)

Hours of Work: Mon – Thu – 7:00am – 16:00pm, Fri – 07:00am – 1:30pm
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £27,000 per annum
Company Vehicle: Van with fuel card will be given.

Interaction Recruitment is the UK's fastest growing independent recruiter with offices nationwide. We are currently working with a Global Supply Chain and Distributor to recruit an experienced Warehouse/Driver who is a “Jack of all Trades” to join their Barrow in Furness location.
As a Customer Envoy, you are responsible for completing a variety of tasks including manually loading cages onto your vehicle, delivering stock to the customer site, unloading/checking in/putting away stock to maintain appropriate inventory levels, and assisting the customer with any additional requests. Your focus will be on ensuring that the correct materials and quantities are replenished as requested by the customer, paying special attention while working on site to represent the organization in a professional manner.
A comprehensive training programme is in place for all new associates to ensure competence & safety. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with the desire to join a forward-thinking and progressive business.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Driving:
1. Driving a Luton Van to the Customer site.
2. Follow the assigned route to the customer location within the specified time-frame.
3. Loading/Unloading cages of stock.
Warehouse/Customer Envoy:
1. Working independently.
2. Manually unloading cages full of stock onto the customer site.
3. Replenishment of inventory using the hand-held scanner.
4. Adopting the businesses ‘One Team’ approach and supporting other areas of the operation if occasionally required.
5. Maintain a safe and tidy working environment & maintenance of 5S standards.
6. Adhere to any given request whilst on the customer site.
Person Specification:
1. Educated to a good standard.
2. Experience of working in a warehousing environment is essential.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Experience of using IT equipment in a workplace environment.
5. Experience of using a hand-held scanner.
6. Open to change and adaptable, with a capacity and willingness to learn.
7. Able to prioritise a varied daily workload.
8. Full UK Drivers Licence.
9. Forklift license advantageous.
