St Boswells disease surveillance centre is situated in the southeast of Scotland and provides a diagnostic and consultancy service to the sheep and cattle farmers of the area and their veterinary surgeons. The centre manages both the sheep and cattle health schemes such offered by SRUC. About the opportunity: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced technician to join the Health Scheme team at St Boswells disease surveillance centre. The main responsibilities of this role will be to: Provide an efficient and reliable service to Health Scheme clients Lead on specific area(s) of work Support Team Leaders and Health Scheme Veterinary Manager Deal with queries by phone, email and Teams from internal and external customers Develop and maintain a good understanding of the rules of the Health Schemes Register samples in Health Schemes database, including labelling Contact farmers and vet practices to resolve issues Advise clients on health scheme requirements/rules, and problem solving Assist with staff training Assist with client management, including keeping records accurate and up to date General office duties General finance duties Further details of the requirements of the role can be found in the Job Particulars document. Minimum qualifications and experience: The successful candidate will be educated to SCQF Level 9 (Degree level) or above and have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience or an appropriate qualification and extensive relevant experience.
