Job Title: Team Leader Location: London, UB5 Salary: £15.70 per hour (40 hours per week) Sleep-in shifts paid at £70.50 per shift Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Team Leader to join the team at Hazel House. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of care staff, ensuring that young people in our care receive the highest standard of support and care. You will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the home, providing supervision and guidance to staff, ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards, and promoting the well-being and development of the young people in our care. Key Responsibilities: Lead, supervise, and support a team of care staff, ensuring high standards of care and safety for young people. Assist with the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring that each child’s emotional, physical, and developmental needs are met. Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to staff, promoting professional growth and ensuring adherence to best practice. Ensure the home is a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for young people, promoting their emotional and behavioral well-being. Monitor and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including care plans, incident reports, and daily logs. Support young people in their personal development, education, and life skills, encouraging positive behavior and engagement. Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures, creating a protective environment for young people. Work alongside the management team to ensure the smooth running of the home and contribute to ongoing development and improvement. Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and planning sessions to ensure young people’s needs are being met effectively. Work on a variable shift pattern, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts. A fixed shift pattern is not available. Essential Qualifications & Experience: Must hold a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare. Previous experience in a residential childcare setting, particularly working with young people in care. Experience in a supervisory or team leader role, with the ability to manage and support staff. Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with young people, staff, and external professionals. Desirable Skills: A full, valid UK driving licence (strongly favourable). Experience working with young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties (EBD). Working Hours: This role works on a variable shift pattern across the 7 days of the week, including evenings and weekends. A fixed shift pattern is not available.
