Location: North East Region, Gateshead location with regular travel to our Scotland office.
Our Head of Operations is a senior role in our business, fundamentally you are the driver of success in the North East and Scotland region which encompasses delivery of several multimillion-pound long term contracts for our clients, offering security and stability. Total regional turnover circa £30m.
Predominantly centred around Reactive Repairs and Planned Refurbishment projects in a Social Housing environments. Providing the vision, you will lead and motivate your team of circa 80 employees plus sub-contractors, to deliver excellence for our customers over the vast programmes of works and with the support of your Commercial team, manage the P&L to provide a profitable output for the business.
With overall responsibility for the development, implementation, monitoring and review of the regional strategy, your focus will be to maximise profit growth, through the delivery of right first-time services. To support you, an established Commercial team will manage the regions cost control and your Operational teams are set up to deliver a best-in-class customer service whilst ensuring health and safety is at the forefront of everything we do.

An outline of your responsibilities as a Head of Operations
* Drive performance and excellence for our customers, working to service level standards
* Manage the commercials by regularly reviewing P & L, reporting success to Board level
* Develop and communicate clear vision and direction and ensure all teams within the region understand the goals and their contribution
* Develop long-term strategic relationships with your clients
* Provide regular strategic and operational updates to the Board for the areas of responsibility
* Identify opportunities to expand services to existing clients and present robust business cases for new work
* Use networks to identify opportunities with new clients and/or new services, presenting thorough and robust business cases to the Board of Directors
* Ensure that appropriate due diligence is completed ahead of all bids to ensure commercial viability
* Take ownership for team development and progression within the region, proactively and positively managing talent and succession for the present and future success of the business
About You
As an experienced Head of Operations, you will have previously worked in a Senior Leadership role, managing a vast program of works within a Social Housing environment. You will be experienced in providing the vision and direction for your team to deliver excellence within a customer-centric environment whilst strategically focusing on the future of your region, their performance and ultimately driving profit through their delivery. You will have strong stakeholder management skills, excellent client relationship skills and a passion for leading people. You will need to hold a Full UK driving licence and the role is subject to a DBS check.
