The Quality Control Inspector will closely measure and examine work in progress, first-off parts and final inspection of white metal bearings and laser cut parts in order that customers and internal quality standards are achieved Duties: Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests. Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to the Quality Manager. Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work. Experience Required: College Level 3 Certificate or equivalent in mechanical engineering or machining Key Skills: Use various measuring devices including but not limited to micrometers, calipers, and height gauges to qualify manufactured and purchased parts to both internal and external specifications. The ability to set-up and use a Coordinate Measuring Machine is a definite advantage. Interpret complex engineering drawings, work orders, engineering specifications, and route cards. Must have a good understanding and application of geometric dimensions, fits and tolerances
