Mott MacDonald Bentley are recruiting for an Enabling Coordinator to join the Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA). The 330km Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) Project by Anglian Water is under construction and will be completed during AMP8. Beyond this we have a further 260km of water transfer pipelines and associated infrastructure to be delivered in AMP8. What will you be doing as our new Enabling Coordinator? You will be responsible for the assessment of environmental constraints and associated risks on the interconnector projects. Reporting to the Lead Enabling Coordinator, you will be responsible for communicating environmental findings to the design, engineering and construction teams. Working with the Lead Enabling Coordinator, you will regularly review the level of risk to project delivery and environment, working collaboratively with the design, engineering and construction teams to reduce consenting and environmental risk on projects to an acceptable level. Key responsibilities: Provide technical assistance on environmental aspects of projects and related activities in support of engineering and construction teams. Support the Area T&C Planners by conducting tasks related to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) screening and/or scoping opinions and planning applications. Perform project delivery activities such as completing risk assessments, advising on survey requirements, reviewing and communicating survey results. Understand and manage risks to the environment and project delivery. Work in a collaborative way with engineers, construction teams and external stakeholders to deliver schemes on time, on budget and with minimal environmental impact. A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours: This job might be for you if you are: Educated to degree level with a BSc or MSc in Geography, Environmental Science or Earth Science (minimum 2:1 at degree level) Experienced in using Geographical Information Systems (GIS) packages (ArcGIS, QGIS, MapInfo) for geoprocessing and visualisation of data Interested in business consulting and environmental issues (either through related coursework, previous employment, or personal endeavours) Experienced in managing the environmental assessment of large works programmes Have effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports Able to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision.
