Marketing and Communications Officer - New Vision Bradford
Working hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm with some weekend work when needed.
Location: Base location will be 10 Currer Street, Bradford BD1 5BA however additional travel will be required when needed.
About the role...
Join us as a Marketing and Communications Officer at New Vision Bradford, where you will play a vital role in promoting our community drug and alcohol treatment and recovery service. This role is managed remotely by the marketing & communications team but is supervised locally by a senior member of the New Vision Bradford team. Be a member of a vibrant Marketing & Communications community of practice, which shares learning and innovation and explores new ideas.
As a Marketing and Communications Officer, you will have the exciting opportunity to:
1. Craft compelling stories and secure coverage in local newspapers, spreading the word about our valuable services.
2. Design eye-catching leaflets that showcase the life-changing support we provide to the community.
3. Collaborate with the councils, partners and key stakeholders which we work with, amplifying our reach and impact.
4. Engage with the community first hand by attending events, building meaningful connections with those we serve.
5. Harness the power of storytelling through video editing, sharing inspiring experiences that touch hearts and minds.
6. Build strong connections with a range of internal and external staff and partners.
About you...
1. A qualification in Media/Communications (equivalent to NVQ level 4) or equivalent hands-on experience.
2. Experience and/or skills within Social Media.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, coupled with exceptional copywriting and creative writing skills.
4. Strong administrative prowess, coupled with attention to detail in all aspects of your work.
5. The ability to bring ideas to life through engaging written and visual presentations.
6. A team player who can build strong connections with a range of internal and external staff and partners.
