THE ROLE
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager in the Security Industry, or a Senior Technician / Project Manager looking to join a professional and successful team as their Operations Manager - Technical. This role will be covering the Northern region from Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Auckland. The work primarily involves managing our team of Electronic Security Technicians, overseeing commercial security projects which can cover everything from Access Control and CCTV, and everything in between, to working with our Operations Manager – Engineering, who oversees our in-house engineering team, manufacturing and installing automated gate systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage and lead installation and service teams by managing timelines and communication.
* Plan, and schedule team in advance, working with our Office Manager on recurring service work.
* Communicate with our clients regarding time frames and scheduled works.
* Oversee projects from execution to delivery on time and within budget.
* Forecast growth and resources, collaborating with the team and stakeholders.
* Ensure all service schedules, drawings, specifications, and handovers as needed are complete and documented.
* Assure customer satisfaction by maintaining effective communication with all clients.
* Ensure quality of workmanship and safety in delivery meets our ‘Watchu Way’ values.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Previous experience of at least 5 years in commercial security installation at a senior level.
* Excellent technical knowledge.
* Ability to provide quality solutions with knowledge and leadership of Health and Safety.
* Proven leadership experience, including training and mentoring skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Efficient time management and prioritisation skills.
