Job Title: Camunda Architect Job Description Our Large banking client are looking for a Camunda8 Architect to join their team and help us design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable business process automation solutions using the Camunda8 BPM platform. You will be responsible for leading the architecture and design of Camunda-based applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements, best practices, and quality standards. Responsibilities Analyse business processes and workflows and propose automation solutions using the Camunda8 platform. Define and implement the technical architecture and design of Camunda-based applications, including integration with other systems and technologies. Setup enterprise architecture principles, guidelines, and tollgates for organisation-wide implementations. Design frameworks for effective implementation of Camunda 8 technology. Research and articulate best practices in scalability and performance of distributed architecture. Build integration components aligned to Camunda Connector SDK using Java. Define, design, and build framework extensions using Java. Develop, test, deploy, and troubleshoot Camunda processes, services, forms, and decision tables. Provide guidance and mentoring to other developers and engineers on Camunda development and best practices. Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and quality of Camunda projects. Monitor, optimise, and troubleshoot the performance and availability of Camunda applications and environments. Keep up to date with the latest trends and developments in Camunda and related technologies. Essential Skills At least 12 years of experience in developing and deploying business process automation solutions using Camunda or similar tools. 6 years of experience in architecting solutions using Camunda/Flowable. Proficient in Java, BPMN, SpringBoot, AWS, and containerisation (EKS). Good understanding of IAM, LDAP, and SSO solutions for APIs and applications. Strong knowledge and experience in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture. Experience in integrating Camunda with other systems and technologies, such as databases, messaging systems, cloud services, etc. Experience in designing and implementing complex Camunda processes, services, forms, and decision tables, using BPMN, DMN, and CMMN standards. Hands-on knowledge and experience with Camunda 8 self-managed installation and multi-tenant architecture. Experience in performance management related to Camunda 8. Experience in applying DevOps principles and practices, such as CI/CD, testing, monitoring, logging, etc., for Camunda applications. Additional Skills & Qualifications Git (command line and Bitbucket/Stash UI), Artifactory, JIRA, Confluence. Domain Driven Design. Agile Development principles, practices, tools and techniques. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Analytical ability, ability to drive an independent project from an architectural standpoint, and learnability in new domains.
