Electrician Holme House (Stockton on tees) Up to £38,500 with Shift Allowance Resourcing Group have an exciting opportunity to join a leading provider of full life-cycle engineering, operations and decarbonisation solutions, for transport infrastructure and complex facilities. My client is looking for an Electrician to join our Ministry of Justice (MoJ) account in. This role is based on-site, which is accessible by public transport and has free parking available. Role overview: The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week (across 7 days where a weekend shift pattern is in place), 07:30 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday; 07:30 - 15:00 Friday; 07:45 - 16:00 Saturday to Sunday. There will be a need to work 1 in 3 weekends but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary). You will be responsible for: Planned and preventative electrical maintenance. Diagnosing and replacing failed domestic electrical components. Responding to breakdowns ensuring all works are carried out under the appropriate Safe System of Work and in a timely manner. Actively fault finding / problem solving on domestic electrical systems across the prison. Undertaking electrical installation activities in accordance with the design provided and IET Wiring Regulations. Testing and inspecting electrical installations in accordance with the current IEE wiring regulations. Monitoring and ordering critical spares for all electrical services. Other tasks as required by the Site This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate. Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract. What makes this role unique: You will test and inspect electrical installations across prison facilities in accordance with the 18th IEE wiring regulations as amended from time to time. Prison Security Clearance will be required (Amey will support you through this process). We want to hear from you if you have: Appropriate technical qualification eg City & Guilds 2365 parts 1-3, BTEC, NVQ level 3 or above BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations, specifically 18th Edition. Experience of electrical maintenance activities, general distribution and installation and testing. Knowledge and experience of Electrical Systems and Electricity at work Regulations. Capable of working at heights. Ability to work alone and use initiative. Ideally you will be qualified in 18th Edition (however if you currently only have 17th Edition, we will sponsor you to upgrade to the 18th Edition; terms and conditions apply) with experience in electrical maintenance within a commercial environment. In addition to this, it would be desirable if you have IT skills and experience in fire alarm systems and CCTV systems to help you hit the ground running, although this is not essential as we will provide you with the required development you need to bring you up to speed.
